Life Lists

The study of wildlife/natural history and conservation are my passions, and I strive toward a career that encompasses my interests.

Seeing a new species of wild animal for me is like winning an award: it’s one of the greatest joys in my life and one that for me is simply irreplaceable. I’ve traveled to over 30 countries (as of July 2025), with many of my international travels being directed at ecotourism and wildlife viewing. I’m currently deciding on a suitable university in the United States, where I hope to build a fruitful career doing what I love most.

I keep track of my observations of different bird and mammal species on documents called ‘life lists’, used by birders and wildlife enthusiasts around the world. While I’m fascinated by other groups of organisms (insects, reptiles, plants, marine life), I’ve always felt a special drive to seek out birds and mammals, especially mammals, wherever I go.

My current total as of August 2025, including every place I’ve ever lived in or traveled to, stands at 760 bird species and 208 mammal species. These numbers are decent, and though I’m proud of myself for growing both my mammal and bird lists exponentially over the past few years, my goal is to seek out and observe as many of the world’s animals—especially birds and mammals—as possible. Given that there are 11,000+ bird species and 6,400 mammal species, along with millions more invertebrates, fish, amphibians, and reptiles, I have my work cut out for me!

I’m particular about the animals I include in my life lists; they are all confidently identified, fully wild, and native to the locations where I observed them. Often, I’ll obtain a record shot of the animal on my camera for easier identification. I choose not to include introduced or invasive species on my life lists, as these animals frequently disrupt ecosystems and the species within them.

Below, you’ll find my most recently updated life lists of birds and mammals, organized by taxonomic family. Feel free to scroll through or download the files below to explore the species I’ve encountered on my journey so far!
